Kalen began his career in accounting, earning his CPA before spending seven years building a venture-backed CPG company. Seeing both sides is what led him to create Kigitz.
Running his own company showed him how hard it is to grow a business while making constant financial decisions along the way. As a CPA, he always had a clear picture of where things stood. Most founders around him didn’t. Their books might have been done, but no one was helping them understand what the numbers meant, what needed attention, or what to do next.
That’s the gap Kigitz was built to fill. Kalen has been in the founder’s seat, so he knows what founders actually need from their finance team: clean books, numbers they can understand, and someone they trust to walk them through what comes next.
